Are you asking this question in general practice, or do you want to know how to use reverse thrust on FS9/FSX? The latter part is to press and hold the "F2" button on you keyboard. The throttle must be closed.

I do not have FSX at the moment, but my experience with FS2004 is that you move your mouse over the throttles till it make a little hand, and then drag it with the mouse backwards. Try it. Otherwise press and hold the "F2" button on your keyboard.

You can also use the "Page Down" button to deploy reverse thrusts and then f1 to bring the engines back to idle below 60 knots.

on fsx press shift+4 and that will bring up the engine controls. Then click and hold on the small throttle lever and bring it back all the way. Do the same with the other trottle control
